Boxing Controversy

Being half Italian, I never make fun of Italians, and I'm not doing that now. However, I do find this meme humorous and explanatory.

Although I do support trans-women (men) competing in women's sports as a way to eliminate a double standard, this boxing match is a different situation. This was just a case of bad luck for Carini. She was paired with a competitor who was taller, bigger, and stronger, and Carini was not prepared for that kind of real boxing. As they say, Carini got a wake-up call that thrust her into Olympic reality. At least she tried. It was proper for her to bail out of the fight, if she thought that she didn't have a chance to win.

As it stands now (of what I am aware), the two so-called "men" in the Olympics WOMEN'S boxing competition at the very least are both guaranteed bronze medals. At best, they will take gold and silver. I am quite happy about this tentative result.
