I am fairly sure that I have eaten Vichyssoise. It was most likely when I was a young kid in the later 1960s, maybe early 1970s.

Many decades ago when I was a teenager in the 1970s, I received a bit of potentially controversial advice from a now-forgotten, jaded, older-and-wiser gentleman. He told me:
"Never marry a woman whose father calls her Princess, because she believes him."
