Today is National Fruitcake Day. I do like regular fruitcake, but I prefer the Italian version called panettone. I always give my mother a panettone imported from Italy every Christmas. My wife and I also always buy one for ourselves. Here is a photo of ours. (Actually, this Christmas season, my wife purchased four of them.)
