I received somewhat of a profession shock this morning (September 10, 2025). I was a journalist from 1982 to 2017, with Republican/Conservative/more-recently MAGA tendencies that I always kept out of my work. Anyway, for many years, I have enjoyed reading the right-leaning newspaper The Washington Times. This morning, I was shocked to see this article on Facebook. I initially thought it was from a parody group or a loony, left-wing newspaper, but it's not. The mention of global warming and uneducated people, both buzz phrases of the liberals, rather confused me. The comments from other readers of this article prove that I am not alone in my thinking that something has gone horribly wrong at this publication.
