On this date, June 2, in 1967, The Beatles album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" was released in the United States. For many decades, I thought it was released on June 1, 1967. I found out fairly recently that it was released on June 2, 1967.
Through research, I discovered that the June 1-June 2 discrepancy may possibly be due to a difference in time zones, whatever that means. I will leave it up to you to decide the actual date of release."Pepper" was scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on June 1, 1967, but a leak caused an earlier release on May 26, 1967.
