"Shrekking"

Have you heard of the latest dating trend? It's called "Shrekking."

Shrekking refers to women dating men who are ugly and whom these women consider below their standards, with the assumption that because the women are superior to these men, the women will automatically have the upper hand in the relationship and be unlikely to get hurt. It's basically women dating down instead of the usual "hypergamy," which means a woman always dates up.

More often than not throughout my life, I have been at the right places at the wrong times. I could have used Shrekking to my advantage in the 1990s, when I was single and in my age 30s. Another recent example is: Several years ago, nerdy guys were in fashion, which was something I also could have used in the 1990s.
