Today (August 23) in 1981, The Rolling Stones released their album "Tattoo You." I enjoyed listening to my copy on vinyl at Villanova University, when I was initially 20 years old that year, and, of course, beyond.
The front cover (right, in red) is Mick Jagger. The back cover (left, in green) is Keith Richards. My favorite song on this album is "Heaven," but I like the concept of not needing a woman that is professed in the song "Waiting on a Friend."
Partial Lyrics of the latter song:
"Mm, don't need a whore, I don't need no booze
Don't need a virgin priest
But I need someone I can cry to
I need someone to protect
Mm, making love and breaking hearts
It is a game for youth
But I'm not waiting on a lady
I'm just waiting on a friend"
