My wife likes fried bologna sandwiches. I don't think I have ever eaten it fried. I prefer white-bread sandwiches with salami fried in butter, but not that often.
When I was a kid in the 1960s and 1970s, for my school lunches, my mom would make me olive loaf and mayonnaise sandwiches on white bread. I still like them, but olive loaf has increasingly become difficult to find.

I am more of a gourmand than a gourmet, but less so these days, as I have aged.
