What nicknames did you give your teachers when you were young?
When I was a very young kid going to school in Babylon, Long Island, New York, in the 1960s, there were two playground monitors, both women.
One had a huge, very high beehive hairdo, so she couldn't keep her head straight up. She would walk by us with her head near her right shoulder, stop, and then turn around and walk by us again with her head near her left shoulder. We called her "Tilt."
The other one would walk by us slowly, stop motionless for about 10 seconds, turn around, and walk by us again, stop motionless for 10 seconds, and continue to walk back and forth. We called her "Living Statue." I remember my friend's mother and I were in a car going to pick up my friend at her Girl Scout meeting at a legion hall. I looked in to see "Living Statue" dressed in a Girl Scout uniform. I couldn't stop laughing.
