Today Is ...

EXPLANATION: I have considered myself to be an armchair anthropologist for many decades. I have a strong interest in regard to how people interact with each other. That's one of the many reasons why I became a journalist (1982 to 2017). Perhaps, I solidified my interest in anthropology when I took a university course titled "Interpersonal Communications" in the early 1980s, when I was in my early 20s. I vaguely remember it being a two-part course. Anyway, the following is a little information about one particular aspect of male-female relationships.

Today is a day to honor "old maids," also known as spinsters (older, sometimes younger, women who never married nor have children). The number of old maids has increased in recent years and continues to increase rapidly. A recent scientific study determined that by 2030, at least 50 percent of women here in the United States are expected to be unmarried and childless.

Women who wait until their 30s because they are concentrating on their careers instead of marrying and starting families in their 20s are sadly discovering that men their own age actually prefer women who are younger than them, mainly for reasons of stronger fertility and less "baggage." It really is quite an interesting trend. I recently read that investors are now focusing more on wine companies and cat food producers. It sounds like a joke, but it's true.

During recent decades, Western women have become toxic, overconfident to the point of arrogance, misandristic, overly masculine, and so-called "independent," where they "don't need a man." They would rather encounter a bear than a man in the woods. Women have become the men that they want to be with. That is basically why men in Western countries (United States, Canada, The U.K., Australia) are traveling to Eastern countries (China, Japan, The Philippines) to find feminine and respectful wives who will bring them peace. These men are called "Passport Bros."

These men are in search of women who are feminine, peaceful, and respectful of men, something that is quite rare from women in Western countries. This, therefore, increases the number of old maids in Western countries.

I enjoy almost all kinds of cheeses, but I would say that my favorite cheese is Leyden, a semisoft, mild Dutch cheese that contains whole cumin seeds and whole caraway seeds. Of course, I like the basic Italian cheeses: Ricotta, Mozzarella, Provolone, Parmesan, Romano, Asiago, and Gorgonzola. I also like a stinky Blue Cheese and an extra sharp orange Cheddar. ... and don't forget a sturdy Emmentaler.
