From husband Bill: Today (June 25, 2026) is the day after the fourth anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade on June 24, 2022. I created and uploaded my celebration video yesterday onto my YouTube channel and then posted the link on various social media platforms.

Today, I wanted to post the photo (below), taken on the day after the Supreme Court ruling four years ago (June 25, 2022).
At that time, I was in a physical rehabilitation facility following quadruple coronary artery bypass surgery on March 9, 2022 and two related chest surgeries on May 19 and 25, 2022: one surgery to open me to remove sternal plates due to loose screws and to tend to an infection within my chest, and another surgery about a week later to close me. I arrived at rehab on June 3, 2022. Since those three surgeries, I had six more surgeries, up until May 2026: two spine (abscess removed and then titanium metal rods attached); right ankle; artery bypass (vein in my right leg taken out and put within my left leg); amputation of two toes of left foot; and angioplasty of left leg.
So, it was June 25, 2022, when I first was offered a newspaper since I had been at rehab. I am not a fan of The New York Times due to its heavily liberal/politically leftist bias, but that is all she had to offer. Anyway, I accepted the newspaper, mainly because I was and still am extremely happy that the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and because I wanted to see the large bold headline printed onto the front page. After all, it really is good news, as well as an important historical event. Unfortunately, someone threw out the paper. I had hoped to save it for posterity.
I was a journalist from September 1982 to April 2017. I have been a staunch Conservative for my entire life and a registered Republican since 1979, but I have always kept my political leanings out of my professional life.
I have been a Men's Rights Activist since the early 1990s, when I was in my early 30s. Men's Rights includes Father's Rights.

Another word for "kiss" is "buss." Long ago, I saw a billboard at a New Jersey truck stop: "Busses Welcome." Yeah, it made me laugh in a rather nerdy way: "Kisses Welcome." The plural of "bus" is "buses."

I like éclairs, but never with whipped cream. I prefer them filled with chocolate pudding, but vanilla pudding is good, too.

Serious Thoughts on Father's Day
Children raised in two-parent (mother and father) homes and single-father homes are much more successful than children raised in single-mother homes, statistical analyses have stated. Children raised in single-mother homes are more likely to be criminals, drug addicts, suffer from depression, have higher instances of suicide, etc. Single-father homes and two-parent (mother and father) homes are quite similar. This is all based on sociological studies. Of course, the two-parent home, again with a mother and a father) is best, but the single-father home is about equal.
In the United States, mothers are awarded full custody of the children in at least 92 percent of family-court cases. This is due to anti-male judges and the false notion that mothers are better nurturers than fathers. That "idea" has been proven to be incorrect.
Lawyers are advising fathers to NOT fight to be with their children because the fights are extremely expensive, and the fathers are almost sure to lose.
Fathers are people, too. I would love to see fathers get a little justice. (I am NOT a father.)
80 percent of divorces are initiated by women, 90 percent by university-educated women.
(I have been a Men's Rights Activist since the early 1990s, when I was in my early 30s. I have been interested in the futile efforts to preserve and expand Men's Rights and Father's Rights for decades somewhat on a practical level, but mostly on an intellectual level.)

Happy Father's Day to my father-in-law Bob (R.I.P.). He was not only down to earth but also larger than life. Here I am with Bob and my mother-in-law Lorna (R.I.P.) at our wedding reception on February 4, 2006. Bob, you are sorely missed and forever in our thoughts and within our hearts. Of course, Lorna is also sorely missed.

Happy Father's Day to my dad (August 30, 1934 - February 14, 1997). I still sorely and immensely miss him. This is a photo of my dad and me in December 1974 at the house of my great-aunt Rose in East Orange, New Jersey. I was 13 years old. My dad died on his mother's birthday -- she passed away on May 22, 1977 -- and the day after the birthday of his sister, with whom I have lost connection.
Dad was cremated. Half of his ashes were interred at Breslau Cemetery in Lindenhurst, Long Island, New York. The other half of his ashes were scattered into the North Atlantic Ocean from a U.S. Navy ship. Dad served 22 years in the Navy and retired at the rank of Commander. He was a few months short of Captain. He served on a ship in the 1950s, transporting DPs (displaced persons or, as he called them, delayed pilgrims) after World War II from Bremerhaven, Germany, to New York City.
My father had a twin brother named Wilbur who died in 1935 at the age of 9 months due to spinal meningitis.

Today (June 21) is National Dachshund Day. I grew up with dachshunds in the 1960s, 1970s, and into the 1980s, namely Penelope, Ludwig, Dudley, and Ziggy. All have since passed.
Here is a photo of Dudley (as a puppy) from the 1980s. My dad thought he looked like the actor Dudley Moore, hence his name.
Ziggy (1980s) was named after the cartoon character due to similar physical attributes. (photo in comment section)
Ludwig (1970s) was named after Ludwig van Beethoven.
Penelope (1960s; I don't remember name origin; probably already named)

I loved my paternal grandmother's peach pie when I was a kid in the 1960s and 1970s. She used to boil the pits in water, remove the pits, and then add unflavored gelatin and a drop of red food coloring to make it pink. She then poured this mixture over the sliced peaches in a pie shell and baked it.
WARNING: She didn't know that peach pits (and other fruit pits) contain amygdalin that can create poisonous cyanide when digested. So, do NOT boil peach pits.
