During my time as a journalist (1982-2017), after I moved to Florida in 1998, I was a hardware salesman at Sears for more than five years; and a haberdasher (dealer in men's clothes and accessories) and a textiles salesman at Macy's for a few years, where I also briefly sold maternity clothes and children's toys.
