Today is National Say It Now Day as a day to tell friends and loved ones how important they are to us by expressing gratitude for all of the ways they’ve affected our lives. Many heartfelt thanks go to my wonderful wife and my terrific mother for all of their support during my recent medical issues. Between March 2022 and November 2025, I had eight surgeries, most of them serious: 1 heart; 2 chest; 2 spine; 1 right ankle; 1 legs; 1 left foot. It was difficult for me, but it was also difficult for them. I also thank my friends and family members for their prayers and support. Last, but not least, I thank my surgeons, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and rehabilitation attendants for their efforts to first keep me alive and also to make me stronger. Special thanks go to Dina, who watched over me at my rehabilitation facility, and my dear friend Bryan, who visited me soon after my last surgery.
December 17, 2025, at homeEven though it's more expensive, I prefer real maple syrup to the fake stuff made with high fructose corn syrup. I sometimes put a little real maple syrup in my coffee. I also like real maple syrup on ham and bacon.
