PHOTO: Tuesday evening (November 4, 2025), I had surgery to remove a long vein within my right leg (about 3 feet long) to bypass an occluded (blocked) artery within my left leg. The vein was put within my left leg. (I created this more accurate composite photo.)
Saturday afternoon (November 8, 2025), I had two of my toes amputated on my left foot (the third and fourth). I was to have all five toes amputated, but my podiatrist, who did the surgery, told me that I had a 50-50 chance of saving the other three toes with antibiotics.
