January 20, 2026, at home
So, I hear a thud. I look out of my bedroom window to see a relatively large iguana attempting to enter. I know that it couldn't, but it was still an unnerving event, with it scratching on the window and staring at me. Sorry, I know you are cold, but you can't come in. I don't want to close the blinds, but I may have to close them. The thing continues to stare at me with the hope that I have some compassion and let it inside to get warm. Come on. It's 71 degrees here and now. It was cooler earlier, but it's not bad now. Well, maybe it's just relaxing.
During cooler temperatures here in southeastern Florida, iguanas fall from high in the trees onto your head, so be careful out there.
